Up and out grade.

Swapping to steelie 16’s so ship I’m buying tires from can roll the junker equinox around.

Figures as well, got all tires swapped and one was low, filled with air, and valve stem is bad at the wheel. So I had to go get one of the alloy wheels back up from basement. Even with 3 Cooper tires they are loud.

Equinox should look like this later. $300 for wheels and tires made 0518, so February this year. Will update after work. I didn’t even check brand.

I shucked off the well-worn Winterforce tires from my Ranger last weekend for a new set of Destination LE2s. I had grown so used to how noisy the winterforces were that for the rest of the day when I rolled to a stop on the new tires, I thought my truck had shut off.

Not bad, but since this is your work vehicle it should be on steelies. These 5-spoke, genuine GM, steelies to be precise:

If I had to buy new wheels these would be it. I’ve been putting off buying new tires for too long.

These new tires should last until it dies. It’s at 208K now.

Yeah, that looks like a pretty good deal you found, and I don’t blame you for jumping on it.

I’ve done one of those tire repairs on my original tires, and was surprised at how well it worked. Dobbs wouldn’t patch the tire because they said the damage was too close to another patch, but I took a chance and did it myself and it was just fine. If it felt or sounded weird I would have gotten another tire, but I didn’t notice anything abnormal. Legal liability paranoia on their part I guess.

I found some factory 17" wheels and tires nearby for my Mazda5, but when I contacted the seller with a few questions I didn’t get a response. When I sent another message about whether he received the first message and the questions therein, he only responded ‘yes’ - no answers or anything, just ‘yes’. Needless to say, the sale was not made.

I emailed these people asking for date code and I’m interested.

A week later I emailed and just said how much and offered my 16’s as trade to roll it around. That’s when they bit.
